Our Location
Fforest Kennels is to be found in the beautiful open mountainside yet it's located only 3 miles from the A470 Abercynon roundabout
Our Staff
In addition to the resident proprietors we have a dedicated team of full time staff. These are supplemented in busy periods by our own regular part time staff. The staff are chosen for their devotion to animals and courtesy to their owners and are considered one of the kennel's greatest assets
Our Kennels
These are arranged in several blocks and cater for all needs in respect of size, age and temperament. Each individual kennel is heated and provides a large exercise yard which allows your dog to run freely. Bitches in season also catered for.
The Cattery
These are indoor and are available in single or double. Each guest has their own spacious run, toys and climbing frames. Owners are allowed to bring pets blankets to ensure their stay with us is as good as home comfort. This is just "purrfick" for your cat.
Feeding
Owners are asked to provide details of our guest's likes and dislikes. We only serve the best food in the most hygenic of conditions. Each guest is carefully monitored during their stay to ensure that they are well fed and contented.
Health
All our guests must have a current vaccination certificate, this must be shown on arrival, kennel cough (intrac) must be included. We reserve the right to refuse the admission of any guest that may be suffering from any infectious disease pending advice from a vet.
Normal treatments advised by a vet can be continued during the guests residence but these must be supplied clearly labelled with written instructions and in some cases a small charge may be levied. The guests accommodations are regulary inspected to the most rigorous of cleaning regimes to ensure a healthy environment.
Grooming and Exercise
All our guests receive regular exercise during their stay with us according to their individual requirments. Our canine guests enjoy walkies daily on our beautiful mountainside, as well as being able to run free on the exercise yards.There is plenty of space to exercise the dogs at Fforest Uchaf Farm and the pens are kept scrupulously clean to ensure your pets stay healthy and contented. Rhiannon Francis and her staff really care for animals and welcome your inspection of the facilities.In addition all our canine guests can recieve a wash and brush up service.
PETTRAC
We also offer a microchipping service, this enables people to detect their pets if they stray from home and return them to you safely. Ask for further information.
